Huchuy Qosqo Trek Description: It is organized for people who do not want to do much camping but still want to feel the charm of the Andes. On this tour we will see splendid landscape and learn about ancient history. We visit Huchuy Qosqo a popular Incan town built in the highest part of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. It was the great palace of Inca Viracocha, father of Inca Pachacutec (the most important kings in the Incan Empire). It has stunning mountain scenery and furtile places to farm various agricultural products..
Departures Day: Daily departures are available along the year although due to weather conditions, the recommended period for this trek is March to December. - All private service departure dates are adapted to your request.

Itinerary.-
Day01. - Cusco – Tambomachay – Pucamarca (4200m) we pick you up from your hotel at 07:00 and drive you to Tambomachay (3800m) an Incan temple of the water cult which has ceremonials fountains. From here we are going to start hiking through Puna landscapes and over the Sicllaccasa Pass (4020m). On the other side of the pass we will hike along a trail that leads to Cauca Ravine where we will admire archaeological remains and wild crops such as quinua. We continue on to Queulloca Pass (4185m) where we will enjoy views of a lake with the same name and snowcapped mountains named Veronica, Pitusiray, Sawasiray, and Chicon. Continuing the trek we pass Queullococha Lake where we can see Huallatas, Ducks, and small fish. Then we’ll climb towards the Challu Challu pass (4220m). Later we ascend to the fourth pass at Rumicruz (4230m), to enjoy the Vilcanota Mountain Range. At this point we will have lunch before continuing to an Incan stone quarry (4220m), the place where the rocks were extracted to build Huchuy Qosqo. Finally we will descend to the Pucamarca Community (4010m) where we will set up the campsite and have dinner.
Day02. – Pucamarca – Huchuy Qosqo – Lamay – Cusco (3350m).- Early morning we will leave the camp and walk downhill to the Leon Punku Ravine where we will find remains of an Incan bridge and a trail. Then we will hike to Huchuy Qosqo (3600m) which was an important center in the time of the Incas. From this place we will be able to admire the Sacred Valley of the Incas and The Sacred River. Once we arrive at Huchuy Qosqo we will have a guided tour by our experienced guide until lunch time. After we will continue the trek to Lamay (2800m) where we can bathe and relax in the natural hot springs. Late in the afternoon a bus will pick us up to travel back to Cusco arriving in the evening.
