(01 Night at the campsite)

Day01: Reception at the airport and transfer to our office . From where we will continue in our bus to the dock located in the native community “Infierno” from where we will board our canoe and start a one and a half hour journey to the Explorer`s Inn Lodge . During the trip we will have on board ( Box Lunch ) and will also have the opportunity to see caimans , turtles,capibaras,etc .At arrival we will be received with a welcome drink. After resting a Little while we will do a short night hike where we will be able to see some nocturnal animals of the rainforest . Back at the lodge we will have dinner with our experienced guide and some of the RNs who will be available to answer any of our questions or brief us about the Amazon rainforest and the Tambopata National Reserve.
Day02: At daybreak and after having had our breakfast we will board the canoe and start a 4 hour journey up the Tambopata River.We will find ourselves deep into untouched Amazon rainforest with superb wildlife sighting possibilities. On the way we will pass by basalt rock formations, some gold panning sites,woderful Sandy beaches with swimming opportunities until arriving before midday to the Macaw Clay lick or Collpa de Guacamayos which is a 200 m red soil Cliff where, for still unknown reasons, hundreds of macaws and other parrot species converge every morning and afternoon to feed themselves from the mineral rich clay. Once installed at the campsite we will have our lunch consisting of a box Lunch. After a brief rest,depeding on the season, we could swim in the river if we wish and then go for a walk in the outskirts and come back on time to have dinner and camp.Note:Depending on the weather conditions, the season or any other inconvenience the activities on the second day can be replaced by the activities on the fourth day being the beginning of the excursions to the Clay lick ( Collpa de Guacamayos ) run one day.
Day03: Early in the morning we will have the unique opportunity to visit and experience the spectacle of the macaws at the Clay lick ( Colpa de Guacamayos) and then we will board our canoe and return to the EI.On our way back to the lodge we will be given our lunch on board. Afternoon free for resting and doing independent activities .After the sun sets and after listening to a talk about caimans given by our guides we will board the canoe once again to look for and watch caimans using torches. Back in the lodge we will have dinner with our experienced guides and some of the RNs.who will be available to answer any our questions or brief us about the Amazon rainforest and the Tambopata National Reserve.
Day04: To be able to observe otters we will have to wake up very early in the morning and walk to Cocococha oxbow lake accompanied with our guide. It is a hike of about 51/2 Kms. On the way we will have the opportunity to observe plants, exotic insects, colorful butterflies,birds.monkeys and,with a bit of luck, perhaps we even see some of the large mammals. when approaching the lake we will hide in a strategic hiding place and we will wait the otters to appear to be observed, while waiting we will take the chance to have a refreshment. Canoes will be available for us to go for a short ride around the lake watching the wildlife on the shoreline. Back in the lodge we will probably have lunch quite late and also have the afternoon free for relaxing or doing independent activities for those who wish to do them . Before the sun sets we are going to have the chance to do a short hike with our guide to the sunset point to observe the beautiful sunset of the jungle.
Day05: We will be woken up very early to have breakfast and afterwards board the canoe to return to Puerto Maldonado . On the way we will watch the unforgettable dawn in the jungle on the Tambopata River . Once in Puerto Maldonado we will be transferred to the airport to take our return flight.

Rules and Conditions 2012
Due to the remote location of the lodge , in rare occacions a RN might exceptionally not be available for what Peruvian Safaris can not be held responsible or will it be cause for a claim or partial refund.
Luggage: Due to the limited space in our dugout canoes, is only one(1) medium size handbag or rucksack allowed per passenger, The excess baggage can be left in our Puerto Maldonado office.
Booking & Payments: In order to guarantee a reservation South Adventure Peru Tours must receive a 35% deposit at least 90 days and the 65% balance 30 days before arrival. If the reservation is made 180 or more days in advance , the initial deposit might be 10% at moment of booking plus another 25% sent not later than 90 days and the final payment 30 days before arrival. Payments can be made with Credit card, persona or Cashier`s check or Banck wire transferas Instruction.
Cancellations & Refunds: Refund of deposit , less US$10 per pessenger for handling fees will be made for cancellations notified up to 60 days before arrival. Thereafter, until 15 days before arrival refund is less US$25 per pessenger.No refund will be made for NO SHOW or cancellation received less than 15 days before expected arrival date.
Rooming List: A passenger list with full Name, Citizenship, Age and Passport number should be sent to our booking office at least 30 days or as possible before arrival date.
Single Rooms: Space is limited as the Explorer`s Inn for which reason will we confirm for groups no more than single SWB room for every five DWB rooms.
Tour Conductors: Complimentary throughhout our tour packages.We allow 1 tour guide Free in a shared DWB for every fifteen (15)paying passengers.Consult for groups larger than 31.
Telefax: The initial confirmation of a request will be sent at our expense via our fax.further faxes answering inquiries will be charged to you at US$ 6.0 each.
Park Entrance Fees: S/ 65 Soles per pax ( Approx.US$ 20.0 ) for tourists visiting the Colpa ( Macaw Clay Lick ) or S/30 Soles ( Approx.US$ 15.0 ) If they go only to the Explorer`s Inn. These fees are not included in our pries ad must be paid by the guests separately.
