Day01: Reception at the airport and transfer to your mentioned hotel in Lima.- Upon appropriate arrival time to Lima, you will be met and transferred to the selected hotel in Lima. Hotel MELODIA www.hotelmelodia.com free time to explore by yourself. (Accommodation 01 Matrimonial Room)
Day02: Flight from Lima to the Amazon of Puerto Maldonado-Tambo Jungle Lodge . PAt the appropriate time, transfer to the airport. Airline ticket to Puerto Maldonado. On arrival of your flight to Puerto Maldonado, Our Guide/Staff will meet you at the Airport and transfer you to the Centre of town- where you can visit the exotic local market. Depending on the arrival time of the flights we may have the first lunch here or while traveling to\or at the lodge. Your excess luggage will be stored safely in our Office in Puerto Maldonado and then we will continue onto the port. We take our private boat along the Madre de Dios River for approximately 1 hour to TAMBO JUNGLE LODGE. A cool welcome drink awaits you and then you´ll be shown to your Bungalows to settle in the afternoon we will take a 30 min boat journey to Monkey Island where you can appreciate a great diversity of monkeys such as the “Maquisapa”, “Martin”, “Little lions”, “Frailes”, “Achuñis”, Ronsocos” etc, as well as a rich variety of birds,Return to JUNGLE LODGE for a delicious traditional Dinner. Nocturnal Activities are available each night. These range from nocturnal walks, talks on different topics and Cayman spotting when conditions are optiomal (Lunch and Dinner)
Day03: Tambo Jungle Lodge & Wildlife of Sandoval Lake Lodge.- After a great Jungle Breakfast, we take a 1.5 hour walk to the famous Sandoval Lake, passing through virgin forest, home to beautiful flora and fauna including Giant Otters, Water Birds, Alligators, wild hens, Taricayas (small turtles) and a variety of fish. We will spend a few hours in canoe on this, one of the most beautiful lakes in the Madre de Dios where you can fish for piranha, row, swim, and walk or simply relax before returning to the Lodge in the afternoon. We will have a box lunch at Sandoval Lake. One of the most awe inspiring features of the Jungle is the enormity of the trees and you will have the experience of standing at the base of the huge Lupuna. We may take a short visit to the Fitzcarral boat or there is the opportunity to visit the traditional farming areas of the zone. Return to the lodge. Dinner. Nocturnal Activities (optional) (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
Day04: Tambo Jungle - Taricaya Proyect.- Jungle Breakfast, Further opportunities for discovering the amazing ecosystem up close along an array of trails. We will travel a further 1 hour down river to the Taricaya Project of specialized trails where you´ll be led by your guide. He will further amaze you with the marvels of the jungle through a gentle hike and learning to recognize bird calls, footprints and medicinal plants and their qualities.After our lunch here you can have the experience of their Canopy Walk.Return to the Lodge between 4 and 5 in the afternoon for your final sunset in the Jungle before a traditional Farewell Dinner. Day05: Tambo Jungle Lodge – Parrot Lick - Puerto Maldonado – Cusco: Very early departure to view the Collpa de Loros, (parrot claylick) Sunrise on the river as we journey 1 and a half hours to a clay wall where hundreds of green parrots congregate at first light each morning. We will generally be able to spend about an hour here before re-boarding the boat to enjoy breakfast on our return to Puerto Maldonado. Check in 2 hours before flight and then time to wait at the airport before your flight on to Cusco.Upon your arrival at the airport you will be carried to the selected hotel of HOTEL TAIPIKALA www.taypikala.com 4**** Accommodation , Matrimonial Room. Day06: City Tour & Neighboring Ruins in Cusco. Afternoon or in the morning, City tour for 3 hours through the beautiful Cusco city and its nearby ruins. The tour will show you the amazing colonial city built on the foundations of the Inca palaces. You will visit the Qoricanchaor Temple of the Sun, where you can appreciate the incredible masonry of the Incas, The Plaza de Armas and The Cathedral with its carved woodworks, altars and paintings. Then you will be driven to The Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, to the underground cave and temple of Kenko and to Tambomachay, known as the Baths of the Inca. Day07: Cusco-Sacred Valley- Pisac Market and Ruins – Ollantaytambo- Chincheros- Cusco.- After your delicious breakfast , pick up from your hotel and Drive to maras Town where you can see nice gateways narrow streets, then drive About 7 kms. (4.3 miles) to the southwest and reach Moray, a unique archaeological site in the region. Consisting in enormous depressions or hollows in the ground surface that Inkas made, used as agriculture experimentation centre, What is surprising is that the difference of average annual temperature between the top and the bottom. After visiting moray we continue towards the northwest of the village and get the famous "Salt Mines". The "salt mines" are constituted by about 3000 small pools with an average area of 5 m² (53.8 ft²), constructed in a slope of the "Qaqawiñay" mountain. People fill up or "irrigate" the pools with salty water emanating from a natural spring located on the top of the complex. Day08: 1 Day tour to Machu Picchu by VISTADOME (Luxury train). AWe will pick you from your Hotel between 5-5:30 pm to the train station of Poroy , the train leaves at 6:30 am After a 3 Hours / 30 Minutes journey of majestic views you arrive at Aguas Calientes (Hot Springs Town) where our tour Guide Will be waiting there , he will lead us to the bus station, to go up by a zigzag way for 30 minutes to reach the world wide marvel The Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, known as the lost city of the Incas. Once we get to Machu-Picchu, We'll pass through the control, where we'll hand in our entrance tickets and where our guided tour will start, visiting the main square, the Circular tower, the sacred solar watch, the royal rooms, the temple of the three windows and the cementeries, Our tour lasts around two hours,Afterwards you'll be given time enough to have a walk around the citadel and have your meals at any restaurant in Aguas Calientes ( Restaurant HATUCHAY TOWER ) In the afternoon, between 2:30 pm and 3:20 pm we'll return on train ( VISTADOME ) to Cusco, we'll be waiting for you at the train station and then we'll take you back to your hotel TAIPIKALA www.taypikala.com 4**** Accommodation 01 Matrimonial Room.
