Our Prices

How our prices work

Our travel agency, based in Cusco, established in 2006 by Peruvian partnership with the aim of providing tourists with an unforgettable service using native knowledge and local people. Our Company of South Adventure Peru Tour operator located in the heart of Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire. Over the years we have built up a professional team of guides, cooks, porters and horsemen as well as excellent camping equipment. You’ll find that trekking with a guide who knows and loves the country will help educate you about Peru’s amazing history and culture, providing you with an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Our company emphasis is on providing a personal service and ensuring that everyone in the group returns satisfied.

The Guides/Porters and Cooks: South Adventure Peru tours works with professional permanents guides / Porters and Cooks. All of our guides are local to the Cusco region and are well experienced not only in the treks and archeological ruins but in local traditions, culture and flora and fauna. In all our tours that we offer we have a clean-up policy that must be respected by all our employees ‘take out what you take in, We use clean burning fuel to cook the meals on our treks, we avoid activities which threaten wildlife or which may be potentially damaging to our natural environment, We ensure local water is kept clean by avoiding using pollutants in streams or springs , We limit deforestation - we do not make open fires and discourage others from doing so

We are often asked why our tours offer such great value for money compared to our competitors. The answer is simple. Our prices take into account full itineraries, high quality accommodation and transport, plus logistical support from our office in Cusco. Optional excursions and their prices are listed in the guides on our website.

Our philosophy is to give you the best possible adventure holiday. We have set high standards for our itineraries and we take great care to ensure that all of the ingredients are right, not just the price. Our accommodation is tried and tested, our staffs is second to none for enthusiasm and experience. Many of the included excursions in our tours are the result of years of careful research to get the right balance of quality and value. This focus on excellence is the backbone of our reputation and is the reason why travellers return to us year after year.

Supporting our community project:
.
Helping Children in Peru by South Adventure Peru Tours. We work with a group of porters who come from distant communities and traditionally have large families. Thanks to your tours with us,. We are able to give them stable work and many of them this year have been able to construct their own houses for their Families - something they have never been able to do before.

.
If you're coming to Peru please help contribute towards one of our community projects. We need warm clothes, toys, books and school equipment. Just pop a few things in your suitcase and bring them with you to Cusco, we'll do the rest.

South Adventure Peru tours Community Projects. Many visitors to Peru are surprised by the genuine warmth and kindness offered by many local people during their visit. This applies not just to the staff working in the hotels and tour companies but also the locals you'll meet in the street, the market traders and the porters on treks. It is understandable that many visitors want to show their gratitude and would like to help give something back in some small way. Since our web site now attracts a considerable number of visitors we felt that we could help some of the people living in the more needy communities in Peru, many of whom aren't yet sharing in the financial benefits brought by tourism.

Helping the local community around Lares Valley.
.
Providing opportunities for local people is vital in ensuring that tourism benefits the community, improve life standards and give opportunities to people:

  • We employ local staff and pay them fair, legal wages
  • We ensure that our treatment of staff abides by legal requirements.
  • We use locally –owned transportation and accommodation
  • Our company works to help people INDIGENOUS – QUECHUA living above 4500 meters above sea level
  • Each end of the year , we provide food , clothing , school supplies and toys for the children’s
  • We prepare chocolate and panetone and we share with them is really a complete party and we as a company we are happy and always make sure these people that our government did not even remember them.
  • Every customer who pays our services, 10% of the amount goes directly to help our community project which is our responsibility as a Travel Agency…

Education: Donations and Distribution of School Equipment. This is a simple project aimed particularly at school teachers and school groups visiting Peru. Individuals may be interested in bringing along a few items of school equipment such as books, pencils, pens, crayons, paints and paper which we will distribute to several schools in the villages surrounding Cusco and further afield. With time we hope to build up a good relationship with some of the more under-resourced schools and provide prizes for the best painting/picture or student.

Second Hand Clothes & Toys Appeal. If you are coming to Peru please bring a few items of clothing or toys and drop them off in our office in Cusco ( Calle Carmen 257 San Blas Cusco-Peru). We'll ensure that they are distributed to people who will really appreciate them. All types of clothing are needed for babies, children and adults. If at the end of your trip you no longer have need for your sleeping bag, rain jacket or walking boots we'll find a trekking porter who will be more than happy to accept them.
