Day01: Welcome and City Tour& Neighboring Ruins. -Upon your arrival at the airport you will be carried to the selected hotel. of Apu Huascaran www.apuhuascaranperu.com afternoon City tour for 3 hours through the beautiful Cusco city and its nearby ruins. The tour will show you the amazing colonial city built on the foundations of the Inca palaces. You will visit the Qoricancha or Temple of the Sun, where you can appreciate the incredible masonry of the Incas, The Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral with its carved woodworks, altars and paintings. Then you will be driven to the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, to the underground cave and temple of Kenko and to Tambomachay, known as the Baths of the Inca. Afternoon, you will come back to Cusco and transfer back to your Hotel in Cusco.Meals included: Breakfast at the Hotel.
Day02: Cusco-Sacred Valley- Pisac Market and Ruins – Ollantaytambo.-Chincheros – Cusco.-Full day Sacred Valley excursion. 31 km (19 miles) far from Cusco is Pisac, at the entrance of the Sacred Valley. Visit the colorful market that on sundays, tuesdays and thursdays a craft fair took place where you can buy beautiful handicrafts and sourvenirs. The lunch will be served in a local restaurant. The tour continues towards Ollantaytambo, an archaeological site that the Incas built as a fort and includes a temple, agricultural terraces, and an urban area. There are two distinct sectors: Araqama Ayllu, the religious and worship zone, and Qosqo Ayllu, the residential area. Ollantaytambo was an important administrative center with probable military functions due to the walls and towers. There are also traces of ancient roads and aqueducts. The town of Ollantaytambo is called a Living-Inca-Town, since the inhabitants maintain very old practices and customs. On the way back to Cusco we will stop by the colorful village of Chinchero , where we will find the ruins of the Tupac Inca Yupanqui Royal House, we will appreciate its well preserve Inca wall in the main square and you will visit the beauty Colonial Temple with invaluable portraits, built over Inca Bases. Afternoon we will return to Cusco around 6:30 pm. Then transfer back to your mentioned Hotel Apu Huascaran www.apuhuascaranperu.com.. Meals included: Breakfast and Buffet Lunch in Urubamba.
Day03: 2Day/1Night Tour to Machupicchu Classic - Aguas Calienes .-At 6:30am pick up and transfer from your hotel to the railway station of Poroy, 4 Hours travel by train to the Sacred Valley of the Incas and from here continue traveling to Aguas Calientes .After a 4-hour journey of majestic views you arrive at Aguas Calientes (Hot Springs Town) where you will spend the night. There will be plenty of time to relax if you want to have a hot bath in the natural springs!!! The train ride consist is an spectacular views along the way in this wonderful land of the Incas, amazing landscapes of mountains and valleys, Inca farming terraces, in both sides of the valley, snow capped mountains, and sub-tropical jungle near the Ceja de Selva. From Pachar the sacred Vilcanota river will be our company untill the end. Aguas Calientes town is set in 2,040 mts and is the closest access point to Machupicchu. You will continue the last 30 minutes by train to the end of the line in Aguas Calientes train Station, the bottom town of Machu Picchu. If time permit. OPTIONAL.-visit the termal baths located next of town (US$4 for entrance). Overnight in a comfortable HOTEL PACHAMAMA INN www.pachamamainn.com with Private Bathroom, Hot Shower and Breakfast the next day. Afternoon free time to wander around the markets and settle in. Buffet Lunch and Dinner will be provided. If you would like you can hike to the Mandor Waterfall, climb to Putucusi Mountain or just relax walking the plaza, where artists and handicraft vendors settled. (Lunch and Dinner in Aguas Calientes will be provided by South Adventure)
Day04: Sun gate at Aguas Calientes - Machupicchu – Cusco .- First Option: At 4:30am breakfast and begin of 2 hours climb to Machu Picchu archaeological site (2500m).Second Option:At 5am breakfast and half hour later aboard the first tourist bus to drop us to Machu Picchu main door, and to be the first visitors Inside Machu Picchu archaeological site you will have complete guided tour during 2 Hours of this spectacular and mystical place. The guided tour include walk through the different section such as the urban sector, the agriculture sector, and the religions zone was used by the Inca Culture.After to get 2 Hours guided tour in Machu Picchu you will have free time to explore by yourself. According with the time and your feeling you can coordinating with the tour guide climb to Huayna Picchu (Young Mountain) this climbing take around 1 hour to get the summit from where you can have the best panoramic view for photos of all Machu Picchu and of deep green canyon surrounding the sacred Inca City. At according time descend to Machu Picchu and then free time to explorer on your own. At mentioned time aboard a tourist bus to descend to Aguas Calientes town..Important: If you decide to climb the Huayna Picchu Mountain you must need to know the limit number for visitors is not more than 400 tourists per day, the climbing depends of the weather conditions. At mentioned time aboard a tourist bus to descend to Aguas Calientes town. Then we travel by train to Ollantaytambo and then we catch the van to drop us to hotel in Cusco (2 Hours by train and 2 Hours by Van) end of service. We suggest being in Aguas Calientes at 4:00 pm to aboard the backpacker train leaves at 4:45pm or could be at 6:45pm, depending of the available tickets at Peru Rail so those trains can be arranged until Ollantaytambo or straight to Cusco and from here we will take you a private van to drop off to the hotel in Cusco Apu Huascaran www.apuhuascaranperu.com (This day the breakfast is provided except Lunch and Dinner)
Day04: Cusco – Andahuaylillas – Rhacchi – Pikillacta – Puno.-In the morning, We will pick you up from your hotel At 7:00 am to transfer you to the bus terminal of First Class (VIP service, Touristic Bus Cusco to Puno). The service is by an English speaking guide for tours of sites along the way; Andahuylillas, Tipon , Rhachi , Pikillacta and Pucara with spectacular views. Along the way, you will stop in Sicuani to enjoy a nice traditional buffet lunch provided by our company. (Vegetarian optional) Upon your arrival to Puno aprox.5:00pm, our representative will be waiting for you to transfer you to Hotel EL BUHO www.hotelbuho.com Accommodation on double basis, private bathroom and breakfast.
Day06: 1 Day trip of Floating Island of Uros and Taquile.- Pick up from your hotel at 7:00 am then transfer from your hotel to the port and by motor boat we travel to one of the Uros Islands where you can observe the lives of the people who live on floating reed islands. After a beautiful 2 hr boat ride we reach Taquile Island where we will tour around the ruins and visit these beautiful people, world famous for their intricate and fascinating weavings, after you purchase lunch we will return to Puno. Arrival in the afternoon and transfer back to your hotel.
Day07: End of Package.- After your delicious breakfast, transfer to the airport or to any bus terminal.
