Itinerary of our 2 Day Tour to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu:
Day 1 Cusco – Traditonal market of Qorao – Alpaca Farm to see Lamas , Alpacas and Vicunas Pisac Market & Ruins – Urubamaba for Buffet Lunch -Ollantaytambo and overnight in Aguas Calientes.-At 8am you will be picked up from hotel in Cusco and start the completely guide tour to the lovely Sacred Valley of the Incas.This tour includes visit the traditional market of Qorao, Alpaca Farm . You will continue with the guided tour we arrive to Andean native markets and ruins of Pisac and Calca. The tour goes along the Sacred Valley following by lunch in Urubamba town. The last place to visit in this day will be the beautiful Inca village and fortress of Ollantaytambo. Around 4pm aboard the train to Aguas Calientes, the bottom town of Machu Picchu. If time permit OPTIONAL visit the termal baths located next of town (US$4 for entrance). Overnight in a comfortable HOTEL PACHAMAMA INN 2** www.pachamamainn.com with Private Bathroom, Hot Shower and Breakfast the next day (Buffet Lunch in Urubamba and Dinner in Ollantaytambo will be provided by South Adventure)
Day 2: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu Guided Tour – Cusco.- First Option: At 4:30am breakfast and begin of 2 hours climb to Machu Picchu archaeological site (2500m).Second Option:At 5am breakfast and half hour later aboard the first tourist bus to drop us to Machu Picchu main door, and to be the first visitors Inside Machu Picchu archaeological site you will have complete guided tour during 2 Hours of this spectacular and mystical place. The guided tour include walk through the different section such as the urban sector, the agriculture sector, and the religions zone was used by the Inca Culture.After to get 2 Hours guided tour in Machu Picchu you will have free time to explore by yourself. According with the time and your feeling you can coordinating with the tour guide climb to Huayna Picchu (Young Mountain) this climbing take around 1 hour to get the summit from where you can have the best panoramic view for photos of all Machu Picchu and of deep green canyon surrounding the sacred Inca City. At according time descend to Machu Picchu and then free time to explorer on your own. At mentioned time aboard a tourist bus to descend to Aguas Calientes town.
Important: If you decide to climb the Huayna Picchu Mountain you must need to know the limit number for visitors is not more than 400 tourists per day, the climbing depends of the weather conditions ( to climb to Haynapicchu , there is an extra cost US$10 per person and must be booked in advance ). At mentioned time aboard a tourist bus to descend to Aguas Calientes town. Then we travel by train to Ollantaytambo and then we catch the van to drop us to hotel in Cusco ( 2 Hours by train and 2 Hours by Van ) end of service.
We suggest being in Aguas Calientes at 4:00 pm to aboard the backpacker train leaves at 4:45pm or could be at 6:45pm, depending of the available tickets at Peru Rail so those trains can be arranged until Ollantaytambo or straight to Cusco and from here we will take you a private van to drop off to the hotel in Cusco (This day the breakfast is provided except Lunch and Dinner)
