This Maras & Moray Mountain Biking Tour is designed for cycling enthusiasts who want to combine adventure, Andean landscapes, and Inca history. Peru offers one of the largest networks of ancient Inca trails, many of which connect remote villages, archaeological sites, and breathtaking natural scenery—perfect for mountain biking.

Riding through the highlands of the Sacred Valley, you will follow a mix of dirt roads, paved sections, and single tracks, passing through rural communities that are still largely untouched by motorized transport. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to interact with local Andean people and gain insight into their traditional lifestyle.

Mountain biking in Peru is rapidly growing, and the Maras–Moray region offers some of the best cross-country and downhill routes in the Cusco area, making this tour suitable for both beginners and experienced riders, with route options adapted to your skill level.

Maras & Moray Mountain BIKING : Explore Cruz pata ,Moray, Salt Mines through Biking tour

At 9:00 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and travel by private vehicle for approximately 40 minutes to the village of Chinchero, where the biking adventure begins.

After a safety briefing and bike fitting, we start our cross-country ride through beautiful Andean landscapes, heading toward Lake Huaypo, a peaceful highland lagoon surrounded by rolling hills and snow-capped mountains.

Continuing our ride, we arrive at the Moray Archaeological Park, an extraordinary Inca agricultural laboratory featuring circular terraces. We will spend about 20 minutes exploring the site and enjoying the impressive natural setting.

From Moray, we ride toward the village of Maras, experiencing gentle hills and open countryside. Depending on the itinerary, we enjoy a picnic lunch or lunch in Urubamba.

The adventure continues with a scenic downhill ride to the famous Maras Salt Mines (Salineras), a spectacular complex of thousands of salt ponds that have been used since pre-Inca times. A guided visit is optional.

From the salt mines, we enjoy a final downhill section (approximately 40 minutes) into the Sacred Valley, finishing the ride in the Urubamba area (Pichingoto or Tarabamba) at around 4:30 p.m.

Our private transport will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco or the Sacred Valley.
